A lot of people either don't know about the rainforest problem, don't know how to help, or just don't have
time to think about it. Well, you need to take action!! You need to get your family and friends involved with your project.
It doesn't matter how old or young you are, you can make a difference!! Do what you believe is right. If you think the rainforest
problem isn't important, your wrong!! Your probably saying,"46 years to save the rainforest, it can wait". Think of it this
way, the sooner we start to save the rainforest, then the more rainforest we will have in our world. The rainforest is hard
to grow back because under that thin layer of dirt, there is clay. When the trees are cut down, and then it rains, all the
dirt is washed away, leaving only clay, so no plants or trees can grow back. There is no time to plant new plants and let
them grow to protect the dirt, because it is a rainforest you know. The rainforest used to cover
14% of the earth's surface, and it now only covers 6%!! 1 and a half acres are lost every second as they are being used
for furniture and other human requests. They are being cut down for land and farms, so fast food places can get their food.
Almost half of the world's species of plants, animals, nad microorganisms will be destroyes or threatened in the process of
rainforest destruction.
